With Northern Ireland regularly topping the UK's exam results league and with one of the youngest populations in Europe, it's only natural that education is playing an important part in the life of Titanic Quarter.
Leading the way will be a new campus for Belfast Metropolitan College (one of the largest Further & Higher Education Colleges in the UK or Ireland) which is expected to develop close links with businesses locating elsewhere in Titanic Quarter.
The new Public Record Office of Northern Ireland, also relocating to Titanic Quarter with its collection of materials relating to every facet of Northern Ireland's history, will also offer educational opportunities as will the Titanic Signature Project and the Northern Ireland Science Park's interpretive centre at the Thompson Dry Dock where the Titanic was fitted out.
For a 21st century cityscape such as Titanic Quarter, our vision is that education will be as integral to the area's regeneration as new job opportunities, new homes and new public realm space. |
